My fitness and nutrition Journey
I have been doing on and off Crossfit for the last 12 years f. I started in Crossfit Cupra, Merida Yucatan, Mexico for 3-4 years. And interms of myfitness it was fairly fit and healthy. I love my community even though there was most of the time a huge language barrier. (And I am still working on my Spanish.) I even did some CrossFit courses like CrossFit L1, weightlifting, and gymnastics.
My Journey has been on and off for many years, sometimes with great success and sometimes with great failure. i have learned through the years what helps me the most is getting back in the groove eating right and exercising
I recently started again working on my fitness and my goal is to lose weight and get fit, and maybe get more active in other sports
Staying disciplined in my fitness journey
Discipline is something we all struggle with, either when laziness kicks in or we get too greedy with our journey and stop trusting the process. It is when all goes downhill quickly. and that is where most of us are giving up. instead of continuing.
And my wife and I recently went on a road trip to inland Queensland. We both agreed before the trip to break our diet. it very difficult on the road to stay on our eating plan. and part of the road trip was that we try the food, we have heard that it was pretty good.
We both did I great job breaking our plan but I excelled at it. When we got back, my WOD (workout of the day) was sluggish. on top of that, i struggled to get back on the proverbial horse with my eating plan.
Even though it was just 3 days it was a big mess, my body didn’t want to eat healthy food and wanted chocolate and burgers.
I follow a calorie-restricted diet and eat meat, veggies, fruit and nuts. i discovered i was a little bit too ambitious and probably wanted to get quickly back to a healthy weight.
On top of that I had an forarm muscled that hurt a lot and I couldn’t really exercise with dumbelss or any push ups. Litrally everyday was Leg day
How do I get back on my eating exercise plan?
To get back on track with my eating plan, I start by gradually eliminating the unhealthy cravings from my diet. Beginin by cutting out chocolates the first week and than bread the next week, to get back to my normal nutritian plan eating meats, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. and limit it to daily calorie count of 2500 and macro nutirtians of 30% protein, 30 fats and 40 carbs (mostly vegetables and fruit). Additionally, adjust my workout routine to eas myself in. Instead of Long WOD’s and opted for shorter but more intense workouts. I make sure to maintain my daily step count between 8000-10000 steps,These steps include my daily activity’ As I feel more comfortable, gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts.
I ecersize from home and have two heavy sets of dumbbells and box for box jumps.
I am slowly losing weight again. about 200-300 grams per week at least I start seeing results again. I know it slower then I would like but it is in the right direction
